Most pirate costumes are a printed tunic. This one has pieces: a top that sits off the shoulders, a skirt that's short in front and long behind with rows of ruffles, a cincher that laces up, a scarf for your head. It moves when you walk, and it reads as pirate from the first glance.
The girls' version is the same design in kids' sizes — the mother-and-daughter photo happens on its own.

What's in the box

Top: off-the-shoulder with wide bell sleeves, in black, apricot or white. Skirt: red-and-black tiered ruffles, high in front and long behind, elastic waist. Cincher: brown lace-up waist belt. Headscarf: matching red.

Size by Chest. The Skirt Waist Is Elastic.
The top sets the size — the skirt waist stretches across a wide range. Measure your chest and pick from the chart.
1 · Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest and match the chest column. Between sizes? Go up — the top is stretch, but the cincher laces tighter more easily than a top stretches.
2 · Skirt and height
The skirt waist is elastic (XS 23–35 in, up to XXXL 34–49 in). Front length is 17.7 in on every size; back length 41.3 in. Recommended height runs 5'1"–5'9" for XS–M up to 5'5"–6'1" for XXL–XXXL.

Top length 19.7–24.0 in and sleeve 25.6–29.5 in from XS to XXXL. Hand-measured at the factory; allow about an inch.

It's Polyester, and the Skirt Is Loud.
The skirt is a crisp fabric that rustles and holds its ruffles — great for photos, less great if you want to sit quietly. The top is soft and stretchy. Neither is warm; it's a costume, not a coat.
No boots, no sword, no hat — what you see in the box is the four pieces.

Is the skirt included, or just the top?
All four pieces are included: top, skirt, waist cincher and headscarf.
Is there a girls' version?
Yes — the same design in kids' sizes S–XL is a separate product in our Halloween collection, and buying both applies the pair discount.
What are the skirt colors?
The skirt and cincher are red and black on every version; you choose the top color.
I'm between sizes.
Go up. The cincher laces tighter; a too-small top won't stretch enough.
How does the "buy two" discount work?
Add two or more items from our Halloween costumes to your cart — any mix of styles and sizes, this product or another — and the discount is applied automatically at checkout: 10% for two, 15% for three, 20% for four or more.
Will it arrive before Halloween?
Orders ship from our fulfillment partner with tracking. Order early — we cannot guarantee delivery by October 31 for orders placed in the last week.
